About the Workshop
There are some things you should know about music, if you are going to improvise songs on stage. "The Gorillas" are well known for their vocal performances in their shows, although not everyone is a great singer!

In this workshop we will be singing, rhyming, grooving, having fun and you´ll be told some of our secrets (of course not all of them!) After this workshop you will be more sure about "how that goes" when there´s the yell: "Smells like a song!"

Come out an learn from the best! Four hours (which includes a 30 minute break) of improv learning from the Bansai TwinsYann Van den Branden - this is a unique opportunity not to be missed!

About the Workshop
Very often improv players are looked upon as lower class, joke telling, stand up comedians.

Why? Because very often indeed improv actors never go away from their safe "let's just talk talk talk" routine.

Very often they do so, because they have never studied or practiced with the possibilities physical theater can offer.

This is what makes an actor fascinating to look at. They don't only use their capability of "talking" but uses the whole pallet of body language and expressions to show their emotions.

Great improvisors also use their body to help them and make them fascinating to look at.

Both actors Yann and Yuri have been working many years developing there acting skills not only by talking but also by "doing". It's and fascinating to watch them teach and perform in their own very physical way....

About the Instructor
Yann Van den Branden, artistic director of Quicksilver Productions teaches drama since many years. Not only in his homeland Belgium, where he has his own show on tv and his own long running sit-com, but all over the world. A few months per year he spends in Tokyo working together with Yuri Kinugawa, actress and author on many books on improv, developing new angles on improv theatre.
